Porsche has showcased the Taycan at the Auto Expo 2025! It is the facelifted version of the popular EV and is priced from Rs 1.89 crore to Rs 2.52 crore (ex-showroom). The Taycan lineup in India currently consists of the 4S and Turbo variants, with more variants expected to be launched in the future. Just like any other Porsche, the Taycan boasts a gorgeous design that will make heads turn for sure! It also gets a modern cabin, multiple powertrains and an impressive claimed range.
Here’s a deep dive into the details of the Taycan:
The design of the Taycan is minimalist while being eye-catching and sporty at the same time. The headlights look sharp with the two horizontal LED strips and the long bonnet gets sharp vertical cuts that enhance the sporty design. The facelifted Taycan was introduced with a reworked bumper which has a cleaner look to it. The alloy wheel design bodes well with the styling of the EV, but it is the silhouette of the Taycan which grabs your attention.
The rear is all about sleekness and elegance! The LED tail lights run across the width of the rear and you get a new 3D Porsche logo that adds a modern touch to the Taycan.
Step inside, and you will be welcomed by a premium cabin that looks modern and luxurious. You get an infotainment screen, a digital driver’s display, a screen for the AC controls, and an optional passenger entertainment screen as well. What stands out for me is the digital clock on the dashboard which adds a nice touch inside. It has a chunky steering wheel that houses a few buttons for you to control the driver’s display and other functions.
Apart from the multiple displays offered, the Taycan offers features like ambient lighting, a head-up display, 4-zone climate control, ADAS features, ventilated seats and 14-way powered front seats with memory functions.
The Taycan is based on the new 800-V architecture that supports fast charging speeds of up to 320kW. The Taycan is currently available in the 4S and Turbo variants, and a base-spec rear-wheel drive version is expected to be launched in the future.
