After seeing an incredible year with the Multistrada V4, Ducati has updated the bike for 2022 with a new livery, electronic upgrades and accessories. The Multistrada V4 outsold every other Ducati model, becoming the bestseller by the company for the year 2021.
With the 2022 update, the Multistrada V4 S gets wrapped in a new Iceberg White livery, which doesn’t just look new but also good with its metallic appeal and aesthetics. The new paint scheme will be available alongside the trademark Ducati Red and a modern Aviator Grey colour option.
In terms of electronics, Ducati has upgraded the semi-automatic suspension on the Multistrada V4 S with Minimum Preload function. With the help of this feature, the rider can reduce the height of their bike electronically so as to place their feet on the ground while cruising at low speeds or stuck in city traffic.
Ducati has also updated the infotainment system with software upgrades, and the company claims it makes the interaction between the rider and the bike more functional.
If you already own a Ducati Multistrada V4 S, this is a moment for you to rejoice, as the company has also announced that these updates will be available for existing bikes, that too, free of cost.
The 2022 Multistrada also gets a lowered suspension kit and aluminium bags as an accessory. The suspension kit consists of fork springs, shock absorber springs and side stand. This reduces the bike’s seat height by 20mm, consequently increasing the seat height range (790mm to 875 mm) of the bike. This will make things more convenient for shorter riders while increasing their confidence on low speeds.
Apart from this, the bike remains unchanged, and that formula has worked very well for Ducati. In India, the Multistrada rivals the BMW R1250GS and Harley-Davidson Pan America.
