Jaguar has given the F-Type its last update alongside a special edition variant that marks its platinum jubilee as a sportscar maker. The special edition F-Type is limited to the V8 models and features bespoke cosmetic changes and a longer list of standard equipment.

What’s new in the F-Type 75?

On the outside, the F-Type 75 can be distinguished from its standard variant with blacked-out exterior chrome bits and alloy wheels. It gets gloss black five split-spoke 20-inch rims, black grille badge and wheel centre caps, a commemorative fender badge and quad exhausts. The 75-year edition also offers a unique Giola Green paint option.

The bespoke changes make the F-Type more luxurious on the inside, with touches such as an Ebony Suedecloth headliner and Windsor leather upholstery. Another unique change are the motifs on the door sills and above the 12.3-inch touchscreen that feature a silhouette of the car.

Jaguar will only offer the 75-year edition with a 5-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine. It makes 450PS and 580Nm in the standard coupe and convertible and 575PS in the F-Type 75 R available overseas.

End of the road for the Jaguar F-Type

The Jaguar marque’s legacy for building dedicated sports cars dates back to the 1948 XK120, named after its 120mph (193kmph) top speed. It was followed by the XK140, XK150 and E-Type, all iconic sportscars.

The F-Type is considered a spiritual successor to the E-Type. It’s available with a 300PS 2-litre petrol engine and 5-litre V8 in India, in coupe and convertible body styles.

We expect the new limited-edition Jaguar F-Type to be offered in India sometime in 2023. It’ll carry a premium over the existing coupe and convertible that retail for Rs 1.43 crore and Rs 1.53 crore (ex-showroom), respectively.
