Kawasaki India has launched the 2024 Ninja 300 with no change in price. The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja 300 is available in three colourways: Lime Green, Candy Lime Green, and Metallic Moondust Gray; the latter two being new options.
Yet again, the Japanese brand is following the mantra of don’t fix what ain’t broken. That said, things aren’t exactly going well for the Kawasaki Ninja 300 in terms of sales. In fact, in April, the brand sold just 39 units of the cheapest Ninja whereas the combined sales number of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R as well as the Kawasaki Z900 stands at a massive 87 units in the same month!
It still gets a 296cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that makes 39PS at 11,000rpm and 26.1Nm at 10,000rpm, and hasn’t changed in a long while, apart from emissions compliance. That said, the engine is quite refined and sounds good as well.
The 2024 Ninja 300 is priced at Rs 3,43,000 (ex-showroom, India). Kawasaki heavily localises 300 in India, but is still expensive for what it offers. Having said that, its biggest rival, the Yamaha R3 comes in as a CBU (completely built unit) and is priced at a much higher Rs 4,64,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi). At Rs 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom), the Aprilia RS457 costs Rs 67,000 more than the Ninja 300. But with the performance and features it offers, it's more of a Ninja 500 rival, and offers a lot more bang for the buck.
