2024 Kia Carnival facelift spied testing again at high altitude region.
Expected launch to take place in the later part of 2024.
Gets styling cues in line with the current-gen Kia’s design language.
Will likely be offered in multiple seating configurations as before.
The updated 2024 Kia Carnival has been spied testing again under heavy camouflage in the high altitude regions of Himachal Pradesh in our country. The Carnival made its India debut at Auto Expo 2023 as the KA4 and later, a facelifted version of the MPV made it international debut last year. In this article, let's take a closer look at the spied images and decipher all that can make its way upon launch.
The Kia Carnival facelift carries a completely redesigned look with a massive signature “tiger-nose” grille giving the MPV a much wider stance. Many styling elements and design cues have been borrowed from the EV line-up like the upcoming EV9.
It gets a larger vertically positioned all LED signature headlamp setup with inverted L shaped DRLs. The bumpers also have been redesigned with fog lamps situated a bit inwards. Similar to the Seltos and Sonet, the updated Carnival gets connected LED tail light setup with signature illumination.
While the interiors of the facelifted Kia Carnival couldn’t be spotted, it is very likely to get a layout resembling the internationally sold model. The Carnival will feature a large curved dual screen display with a large 12.3-inch infotainment screen and digital driver’s display.
Kia will leave no stones unturned in stacking the Carnival with features and comfort and convenience niceties. It will be equipped with a panoramic sunroof along with a single-pane moonroof for the third row occupants, a three-zone automatic climate control unit, wireless phone charging, multiple USB charging ports, ventilated and powered seats, and even a rear seat entertainment package with dual screens for second row occupants.
The Kia Carnival is expected to be offered in multiple seating options including a Limousine variant with lounge seating for second row passengers and a 9-seat variant for customers with large families.
Though Kia has not yet disclosed any information regarding the engine options it will be offering in the Carnival, we expect it to be powered by a sole 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine producing 200 PS mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. For the international markets, it gets a 3.5-litre V6 engine producing 294 PS and 355 Nm.
The Kia Carnival might carry a price premium over the outgoing model and can have an introductory starting price of Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). It rivals other premium family haulers like the Toyota Innova Hycross and Maruti Suzuki Invicto.
