Jeep India is all geared up to launch the 2024 Wrangler facelift tomorrow. The refreshed offroader was revealed globally last year and features minor styling tweaks with more features and off-road tech. If you are eyeing the Wrangler facelift, here are the 5 key things you need to know about it ahead of the launch.
The updated Jeep Wrangler boasts a rugged aesthetic compared to its predecessor, featuring a refreshed fascia and increased ride height. Its sleeker seven-slat grille, adorned with black trim elements, contributes to its modernised look. Circular headlights add to the off-roader’s retro-modern aesthetic.
The facelifted Wrangler's dashboard receives minor updates, featuring a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Additionally, the cabin boasts refreshed HVAC controls and switchgear. Overall, the interior maintains an all-black theme, consistent with the Wrangler's character.
Alongside a larger infotainment unit, the 2024 Wrangler gets additional features including voice recognition, wireless phone charging, 12-way powered front seats, a digital driver’s display, and ADAS features like forward collision avoidance and adaptive cruise control. Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and a reverse parking camera with a park assist system.
Underneath the hood, the 2024 Wrangler will retain the same 2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 270 PS/ 400 Nm. It will be paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and Jeep's full-time 4WD. Additionally, it will maintain standard features such as multiple driving modes, low-range transfer case and locking differentials, enhancing its off-road capabilities.
However, unlike other global markets, India will not receive options like hybrid or full EV variants, at least not for the time being.
We expect the prices of the 2024 Wrangler to start from around Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom). Currently the Wrangler is priced between Rs 62.65 lakh and Rs 66.65 lakh (ex-showroom). It rivals the likes of the Land Rover Defender.
