Ather Energy has released two teasers ahead of the Ather Community Day on April 6, 2024. The first teaser confirms that the EV maker will be rolling out the new Atherstack 6 OTA update on that day.
Three distinct things stood out to us from when the spotlight moved around in the teaser. First, the 2x2 rubik’s cube changes into a 5x5 set, revealing different new sets of colours in the process. We think this might point towards different display modes with colourful backgrounds, other than the black and white backgrounds currently available in the Ather 450X. On another note, it could also mean a new range of vibrant colour schemes for the Ather lineup. Secondly, we can see a sticky note on the desk with “Texting” written on it, which might suggest a new feature allowing one to reply to text messages by using the keyboard available on the instrument console. We think this feature will only be made available to use when the scooter is stationary.
Lastly, the popcorn packet next to the laptop might suggest the ability to watch videos and reels on the instrument console itself. But we think this idea is a bit gimmicky and sounds very un-Ather like. In the other teaser shared recently, Ather Energy has confirmed that it is not putting speakers into the upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter and that the Ather Halo smart helmet will have a built-in speaker and microphone system, like a helmet communication device. The video player in the Atherstack 6 update might use the Ather Halo’s speaker for the video playback. The Ather Halo smart helmet will debut with the Rizta and then will be available as just a general accessory.
Also recently, Ather Energy launched the Ather Tyre Inflator for Rs 2,999. It can also be used as a torch and a powerbank. It gets 5 inflation modes: two-wheelers, cars, bicycles, sports balls and toys and can inflate up to 6 tyres in a single charge.
The upcoming Ather Rizta electric will be launched on Ather Community Day on April 6, 2024. It will likely be priced around the Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom) mark and will rival the TVS iQube, Hero Vida V1 Pro, Ola S1 Air and the Bajaj Chetak.
