BMW to showcase new models at Auto Expo 2025
Ready to witness the new X3, M2, M4, and M5
New S 1000 RR and R 1300 GS Adventure will also be on display
Mini will showcase its Cooper S John Cooper Works Pack
Expect BMW to reveal pricing of some new models
BMW Group India has revealed its entire lineup for the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Under the group, BMW, BMW Motorrad, and Mini will bring their latest offerings to the largest auto expo in the country. For instance, there will be the new-gen X3, S 1000 RR, and Cooper S JCW alongside an ocean of other models at Hall no. 6, Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. It is to be noted that Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 will be organised between 17 and 22 January.
BMW pulled the wraps off the new generation X3 last year, bringing in a range of significant updates to its design, interior, features, safety equipment, and powertrain. To start with, the exterior styling of the new X3 sports a revolutionary change, featuring new fascia, distinct daytime driving lights, sleek taillights, and a swept-up beltline. It is longer and wider than its predecessor. But the SUV is smaller in height.
Inside, the cabin of the new X3 is reminiscent of the latest BMW models, boasting a minimalist and upmarket appearance. Key interior highlights include a dual-screen setup, a two-spoke steering wheel, multi-colour ambient lighting, and a centre console that resembles the new X5 and X7, featuring an iDrive controller made from glass.
The new X3 offers a range of petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. However, the India-spec model is expected to come with petrol and diesel engine options. An 8-speed automatic transmission alongside a 48V mild hybrid functionality is now standard across the board. The said engines are also likely to be available with an all-wheel drive system. Meanwhile, the upcoming new-gen X3 is likely to command a premium over the outgoing model.
Apart from the new X3, BMW will also showcase the 7 Series, 5 Series, and X7 as well as three high-performance models, including the M2, M4, and M5.
Furthermore, BMW Motorrad will showcase two new models alongside other on-sale offerings. First up, the S 1000 RR has been a popular choice among superbike enthusiasts for years, and the 2025 model is expected to build on that legacy. The new model will be on display at the Auto Expo 2025. It will continue to offer powerful performance, with its 999 cc inline-four engine that produces 208 PS and 112.5 Nm. With improved aerodynamics, better suspension, and upgraded electronics, the S 1000 RR will appeal to those looking for a bike that combines track-ready performance with cutting-edge technology. We can expect pricing to start at around Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom).
The R 1300 GS Adventure was recently teased by BMW on their social media handles, and it will be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 with a possibility of price announcement. Set to replace the R 1250 GS Adventure, the new model features a bigger engine, enhanced suspension, and more advanced technology. It is worth mentioning that the R 1300 GS is already on sale in the market at Rs 21.20 lakh (ex-showroom). Therefore, we can expect the upcoming R 1300 GSA to be priced around Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).
Apart from that, BMW Motorrad will display the M 1000 XR, R 1300 GS, F 900 GS, F 900 GS Adventure, R12 nineT, CE 02, CE 04, G 310 R, G 310 GS, and G 310 RR.
Alongside the BMW and BMW Motorrad, Mini will also showcase its latest offering at the Auto Expo 2025. The new Cooper S John Cooper Works (JCW) Pack will be at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
This Cooper S will feature a sporty package for Mini enthusiasts but will not be as hard-core as the original JCW models. On a positive note, it is likely to come with special paint options with contrasting accents.
We expect it to be powered by the same unit that powers the Cooper S, i.e. the 2-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 204 PS and 300 Nm. As a result, this hatch can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds and touch a top speed of 242 kmph. Expect the upcoming Cooper S JCW Pack to be priced around Rs 45 lakh.
