This fourth-generation SUV brings numerous changes to its exterior design, interior, and powertrain. Alongside the all-new X3, BMW has also displayed its 7 Series, X7, 5 Series, M4, M2, and M5 pavilion at the Auto Expo 2025.

The new design language has brought revolutionary change to the X3. It features a new and larger kidney grille flanked by the new angular L-pattern daytime driving lights and headlights. In the side profile, it boasts a swept-up beltline, flush door handles, and new sporty alloy wheels.
At the back, the SUV looks as sporty as before thanks to the sleek Y-pattern taillights, a roof-mounted spoiler, sharp cuts and creases, and contrasting treatment on the bumper. The number plate housing has also shifted down to the bumper at the rear.
On the inside, the interior of the new X3 resembles the latest BMW models. Thanks to the BMW Curved Display setup, the cabin looks more minimalist and upmarket than before. Another highlight of the interior is prominent ambient lighting similar to its elder siblings. Also new are the seats and an updated steering wheel. The centre console is reminiscent of the new BMW models and sports an iDrive controller made from glass.
Furthermore, the key features on the new X3 include a 12.3-inch driver display, 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless charging pad, a heads-up display, powered front seats with memory function for driver’s seat; a 15-speaker, 765 Watt Harman Kardon sound system; three-zone AC, a panoramic sunroof, and rear-window sunblinds. Safety features include ADAS, multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and reversing assistant to name a few.
The India-spec BMW X3 is offered with two engine options: a 2-litre 4-cylinder petrol motor with 190 PS and 310 Nm and 2-litre 4-cylinder diesel unit that delivers 197 PS and 400 Nm. Both powertrains provide a top speed of 215 kmph. An 8-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive system, and a 48V mild hybrid assistance are standard for all powertrains.
The new X3 rivals the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, and Range Rover Evoque.
