BREAKING: Jawa 350 Launched At Rs 2.14 Lakh

Jawa Motorcycle has launched the all-new Jawa 350 and it replaces the outgoing Jawa Classic from the manufacturer’s lineup.

The Jawa 350 has been launched with a price tag of Rs 2,14,950 (ex-showroom Delhi). It is available in three colour options: Mystique Orange, Maroon and Black and its rivals are the Royal Enfield Classic 350, the Honda H'ness CB350 and the Benelli Imperiale 400. 

What’s New?

The biggest change from the Jawa it replaces is the bigger 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine producing 22.5PS and 28.1Nm. For reference, the Yezdi Roadster produces 29PS of power and 29Nm of torque output. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. Braking duties are now taken care of by a 280mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS, which is a significant upgrade from the 280mm front disc and 153mm rear drum brake with single-channel ABS on the previous bike.

The suspension setup consists of a 35mm telescopic fork and twin shock absorber setup and the bike comes with 100-section front and 130-section rear tube tyres with 18-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel setup. It has a kerb weight of 194kg, seat height of 790mm, ground clearance of 178mm and a fuel tank capacity of 13.2 litres. The instrument console is an analogue unit with a digital inset.

The Jawa 350 seems to be a good upgrade over the outgoing Jawa Jawa. It gets a bigger 334cc engine but the power output has strangely gone down by 4.83PS. That said, it’s still 2.29PS more powerful than the Classic 350. And enhancements like the dual-disc brake along with the dual-channel make it more suited to take on the 350cc, neo-retro segment.
