With the festive season still continuing, major carmakers are capitalizing on the opportunity to launch or unveil their upcoming models. Let's take a closer look at the six such models that are scheduled to be either launched in India or being globally unveiled this month.
Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch the 2023 GLE facelift in India on November 2, 2023. It was unveiled globally back in February and features modest cosmetic changes on the exterior, updated interior and new features like the 2nd-generation MBUX infotainment system. In addition to the 2023 GLE facelift, Mercedes will also launch the C43 AMG on November 2. It will be offered alongside the C-Class sedan and feature sportier AMG-specific styling over the standard car. But the biggest highlight is its powertrain, which is a 403PS 2-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, generating more power than the old six-cylinder engine it replaces. Lexus is expected to launch its first MPV, the second-gen LM, in India. Bookings are already open and it is based on the same platform as the Toyota Vellfire. The LM is powered by a self-charging hybrid powertrain that sends power to all four wheels. The 2024 Skoda Superb will make its global debut on November 2. Earlier, the Czech carmaker had revealed the exterior design sketches of the sedan featuring evolutionary styling. The sedan is expected to be launched in India next year, with an expected starting price tag of around Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom). Renault’s sister brand, Dacia, is set to globally unveil the Duster on November 29, 2023 in Portugal. The SUV will feature updated design styling inspired from the Bigster concept. Reportedly, it will be offered globally with multiple powertrain options and is expected to launch in India sometime in 2025.
Tata Motors might unveil the Punch EV in India. The EV iteration of Tata’s micro-SUV has been spotted testing multiple times, featuring certain design touches from the 2023 Nexon facelift. It will be offered in Medium Range and Long Range variants, with an expected price range between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 16 lakh.
