As 2023 draws to an end, it is time to take a look at all the facelifted cars that were launched in the year. This year we saw some major facelifts including popular SUVs, a legacy sedan, hatchbacks, premium luxury vehicles and more. Here is the list of top facelift models launched in 2023.

Honda City Facelift 

Honda City

Honda has refreshed its most popular offering by giving the City a midlife update with minor design changes, offering ADAS tech on non-hybrid models and a new lower trim for the hybrid powertrain. Tata Nexon / Nexon EV

Tata Nexon

Tata introduced the Nexon back in 2017. Since then, the sub-compact SUV has had multiple variants, a design update, and various editions; But Tata has gone all-out for the 2023 facelift. The list of updates includes a new modern exterior design, fresh interiors with an updated dashboard layout, new features, and even a new gearbox for the turbo-petrol engine. Tata Harrier

Tata Harrier

The Harrier was already known for its road presence, styling and solid build. Tata has worked upon this and updated the Harrier with its new design language. Notably, apart from the revamped exteriors and interiors, the SUV scored a 5-star safety rating at the Global NCAP. You can read more about the SUV in our first drive report

Tata Safari

Tata Safari

While the Safari can be said to be the 7-seater version of the Harrier, Tata has managed to create a separate identity for the flagship SUV with the latest design, giving it a distinction. Kia Seltos

Kia Seltos

The Seltos announced Kia’s entry into the Indian market back in 2019. Since then, the compact SUV has been a popular choice thanks to its premium design, feature-loaded interior and multiple powertrain options. For the 2023 facelift, Kia has gone with the “don’t fix what isn’t broken” approach. The new Seltos gets visual updates, additional features as well as a new turbo-petrol engine. Mercedes GLE

Mercedes-Benz GLE

The updated GLE comes with minor exterior updates, a new steering wheel, and the latest MBUX infotainment. Available with a 2-litre diesel as well as both 3-litre petrol and diesel engines, with the higher variants of the SUV getting air suspension as well. Hyundai i20 / i20 N Line 

Hyundai i2

The Hyundai i20 facelift gets similar styling as its European counterpart, new features, and updated LED headlights and tail lamps. Only a single engine option is offered with the regular i20, but those wanting more can opt for the more powerful i20 N Line with a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine. MG Hector / Hector Plus

MG Hector

The Hector and Hector Plus have been around since 2019 in the Indian market. While MG did keep updating the SUVs over time, 2023 marks a major revamp for them. You get a bolder looking fascia while the interior has been updated with an even larger touchscreen infotainment system. Also, MG has plonked in Level 2 ADAS features on the SUVs. BMW X7

BMW X7

The flagship BMW SUV gets a few styling updates, especially the front, with a bold fascia. Meanwhile, the insides get the large curved displays which run off the BMW’s latest iDrive 8 system. The SUV is offered with all-wheel-drive and a choice of petrol or diesel powertrains with mild-hybrid tech. You can read in detail about the X7 in our launch report

Audi Q8 e-tron

Audi Q8 e-tron

The Audi Q8 e-tron is nothing but the facelifted e-tron with a new name. Design changes are very minor, but the biggest talking point about the Audi electric SUV is the presence of a larger battery pack, allowing you to travel that extra distance before stopping for charging. Bonus - Kia Sonet 

2024 Kia Sonet

If you thought the list ended here, we have a bonus car for you. Though it was just unveiled, the Kia Sonet facelift will officially launch next month. For the 2024 Sonet, Kia has upped its game with updated styling, new features and brought back the manual gearbox with the 1.5-litre diesel engine.
