Hero MotorCorp has announced a nationwide talent hunt for budding riders, enthusiasts and amateurs in the country, called the Hero Dirt Biking Challenge. It is an opportunity for riders to fuel their off-roading passion and be trained by professionals.
The more pressing matter is that it confirms the arrival of the Hero XPulse 200 Rally Edition that we’ve been talking about for a while. Hero will be presenting the winner and the podium finishers with the hardcore avatar of the adventure bike, which should also go on sale towards the end of the competition. Apart from that, the winner and runners-up will also get sponsorship contracts from Hero MotoCorp worth Rs 20 lakh
The talent hunt will kickstart over multiple weekends in 45 cities, after which the shortlisted participants will move to the regional rounds held across 18 cities. Following that will be a five-day regional boot camp for the 100 selected riders, who will be trained by CS Santosh, multiple-time Indian supercross and rally-raid champion, and the country’s first Dakar contender.
The finals will be held at Hero MotoCorp’s Center of Innovation of Technology (CIT) in Jaipur, and the top riders will be trained and mentored by the Hero MotoSports Team at the facility.
