2024 has been an exciting year for Classic Legends, the brand behind Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA, with new and updated models that have captured the attention of motorcycle enthusiasts. These bikes seamlessly blend classic design with modern performance, featuring better powertrains and styling updates. Let’s take a closer look at the standout launches from these iconic brands this year.
Jawa continues to impress with the 350 model, retaining its signature retro design that fans love. Powered by a 293cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 27.3 PS and 28 Nm of torque, it maintains the brand’s classic character while offering a comfortable ride.
New for 2024, the Jawa 350 introduces a single-tone colour option in Obsidian Black, Grey, and Deep Forest. This variant is available with spoke wheels at ₹1,98,950 (ex-showroom Delhi), making it ₹16,000 more affordable than its alloy wheel counterpart.
The price advantage makes the spoke-wheel variant an excellent choice for enthusiasts seeking a classic and stylish ride without breaking the bank. For those who prefer a more premium look, the alloy-wheel single-tone variant is priced at ₹2,14,950.
The 2024 Jawa Perak now comes with forward-set footpegs, improving comfort during long rides, and a retuned mono-shock for better handling. The bobber-style bike also gets dual-tone colour options for a fresh look.
Powered by the same 334cc engine that makes 30.64 PS and 32.74 Nm, the Perak continues to offer a rather punchy ride with its signature low-slung design. Pricing starts at ₹2.14 lakh (ex-showroom), making it an attractive option for riders looking for a mix of performance and style.
Jawa’s 42 Bobber sees significant updates in 2024, including a new colorway – Red Sheen, adding a vibrant touch to its bold design. The bike retains its 293cc engine with 29.9PS and 30Nm, offering the same powerful and engaging ride.
The price for the updated 42 Bobber has been revised to ₹2.29 lakh (ex-showroom), providing a more accessible option for riders looking for a customized, stylish bobber without breaking the bank.
The Jawa 42 gets a subtle refresh for 2024 with new colour options like Sirius White Matte, Starship Blue, and Cosmic Rock, adding more personality to its retro-modern design. The bike retains its timeless styling, including its sleek tank design and signature round headlight, ensuring it stays true to its classic roots.
The features remain unchanged, with options for a semi-digital or full-LCD instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, and both spoke and alloy wheel variants. These updates make the Jawa 42 more customizable and stylish while maintaining its familiar charm. Prices start at ₹1.72 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Jawa 42 FJ introduces a neo-retro design with sporty elements like fresh graphics, upswept dual exhausts, and a redesigned fuel tank. This variant retains the classic double-cradle frame but offers wider tyres, a longer wheelbase, and 5-step preload-adjustable twin shocks for improved stability and handling.
It also brings a modern touch with a full LCD instrument console and all-LED lighting, setting it apart from the standard model. Available in striking color options like Aurora Green Matte and Mystique Copper, the Jawa 42 FJ starts at ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), blending style and performance seamlessly.
The updated Yezdi Adventure brings a host of refinements and fresh updates while retaining its signature ruggedness. Priced from ₹2.09 lakh (ex-showroom), it’s now ₹6,000 more affordable than before. Alongside the price drop, it debuts four new color options: Tornado Black, Magnite Maroon DT, Wolf Grey DT, and Glacier White DT.
Mechanically, it now features revised gear ratios for its six-speed gearbox, with shorter first three gears and longer upper gears, enhancing both off-road capabilities and highway touring. The suspension has been tuned for better versatility – softer at low speeds and firmer at higher speeds, while a rerouted exhaust provides a quieter note.
Cosmetically, it boasts a more integrated tank-mounted luggage frame, a redesigned sump guard, and better-tucked wires for a tidier, premium look.
The BSA Gold Star has made its comeback in India, starting at ₹2,99,990 (ex-showroom), positioning itself as a premium retro-roadster. With its classic design, featuring chrome highlights, peashooter exhausts, and a round headlight, it blends nostalgia with functionality.
Powered by a 652cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine delivering 45.6PS and 55Nm, it comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Key features include dual-channel ABS, Brembo brakes, Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres, a twin-pod analogue instrument cluster with LCD insets, a side-stand sensor, an anti-theft system, and a USB charging port. Competitively priced against rivals like the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, the Gold Star offers enthusiasts a refined yet retro-inspired ride.
Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA have made 2024 an exciting year for motorcycle lovers, with significant updates to their iconic models. Whether it’s the updated Jawa 42 FJ or the performance-packed BSA Gold Star, these bikes offer a perfect mix of modern tech and classic style, all at competitive prices. As these brands continue to evolve, riders can expect even more exciting releases in the future.
