The Kia Carens Gravity edition was launched very recently, with prices ranging from Rs 12.10 lakh to Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom). The special addition is based on the lower-spec Premium (O) variant of the MPV and it adds a couple of features to this specific variant. This edition is a good option for those who want the lower-spec variants of the Carens, but with more creature comforts. Kia Carens Gravity Edition: Design
Usually, special editions bring in many cosmetic enhancements. But with the Carens Gravity edition, there are no changes made design-wise. However, you get the “Gravity Edition” badging on the front door which helps you to know that it is the special edition of the MPV.
Similar to the Premium (O) variant, it gets halogen headlights, and misses on the LED lighting elements available with higher-spec trims. It sits on 16-inch steel wheels and features body coloured door handles.
It misses out on LED taillights, but sports a shark fin antenna and a roof mounted spoiler which comes with the brake light bar.
Kia Carens Gravity Edition: Interior
The interior is where the special edition starts making sense. For starters, it comes with faux black leatherette seats instead of the fabric ones offered with the donor variant. Further uplifting the feel of the cabin are the flat bottom steering wheel and a leather finish for the door and armrests.
Furthermore, it also gets a dash cam, a single-pane sunroof, LED map and room lamps over the variant it is based on. Introducing these features with the special edition makes these niceties much more accessible and affordable.
Features that are common with the Premium (O) variant of the MPV includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, electrically adjustable ORVMs, steering-mounted audio controls, and a 6-speaker sound system.
Passenger safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), all-wheel disc brakes, and a rear parking camera with sensors.
