Kia has updated its premier SUV in India, the Seltos, with RDE-compliant, E20-ready powertrains and rejigged its variants on offer. The compact SUV’s diesel variant now gets an iMT as standard instead of a proper manual gearbox, alongside the option of a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
For now, there is no turbo-petrol engine being offered as the 1.4-litre unit has been discontinued. The enthusiast-friendly engine option is likely to be reintroduced with the facelifted Seltos, which will get a new, powerful 1.5-litre unit.

More powerful 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine is likely to be introduced with the Seltos facelift, paired with six-speed iMT and seven-speed DCT automatic transmissions.
