Kia India has made the Sonet even more attractive, with the launch of two new low-end variants for the Sonet – the HTE(O) and HTK(O). The addition of the new variants has made the sunroof and some more features even more accessible. This will surely attract more customers, especially the ones who are looking for a sunroof in their car at an attractive price.

The Sonet has always been well-equipped for its price and offers many premium features, especially in the higher variants. The key highlight of the new HTE(O) variant is that you get a sunroof over the entry-level HTE variant. You also get a sunglasses holder in this new variant.
The HTK(O) variant gets an electric sunroof, connected LED tail lamps, automatic climate control, and a rear defogger over the HTK variant.

The new variants get the option of both, the petrol and diesel engine paired with a manual gearbox. The petrol option is the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine making 82 PS and 115 Nm, teamed with a 5-speed manual. On the other hand, the diesel engine is the familiar and a 1.5-litre unit making 116 PS and 250 Nm, teamed with a 6-speed manual.
In the higher variants, you also get the option of a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine.
The Sonet competes with the likes of the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV 300 and Renault Kiger.
