The upcoming ADV has been spied testing along with several accessories

One of the most anticipated bikes of 2023, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, has been spied testing on the roads of Chennai, ahead of its official launch. The upcoming ADV will be the most premium bike by Royal Enfield and feature a bunch of firsts for the bikemaker.

The bike has been spotted multiple times and by now we know that it gets a pretty rugged ADV styling with retro charm intact. It sports a trellis frame, a first for Royal Enfield, and will be powered by a 450cc liquid-cooled engine, again a first for the veteran bikemaker. It is likely to make similar power and torque figures as its primary rival, the KTM 390 Adventure, which makes 43.5PS and 37Nm. That said, the motor will not be as high-strung as the KTM adventure bike.

The latest spy shot also featured a test mule with accessories including hard case panniers and a hard case top box. All of which look pretty sturdy and ready for long rides and touring.

A few recent spy shots revealed really interesting details about the ADV, like for instance that it gets a TFT console and could come featuring cruise control. Check it out here. Oh and if you are wondering about the Himalayan 450 exhaust note, you can check it out here.

Summing up, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 could debut in the coming months, post the 2023 Bullet 350’s launch, which is slated for August 31. We expect the Himalayan 450 to be priced at around Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Once here, it will go up against the KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400. Head here for our final thoughts about the upcoming ADV.
