Price Of Jeep’s Capable Off-roader, The Wrangler, Hiked By Rs 2 Lakh

• In India, Jeep offers the Wrangler in two broad trims: Unlimited and Rubicon

• It is equipped with four-wheel drive system with off-road modes

• The only powertrain option is a 268PS/400Nm 2-litre turbo-petrol engine 

• Prices for the Wrangler now range from Rs 62.65 lakh to Rs 66.65 lakh

Jeep has updated the pricing of the Wrangler SUV, hiking it by Rs 2 lakh. Although Jeep hasn't issued an official statement explaining the price hike, it's worth noting that the move comes during the ongoing festive season. If you were planning to buy one, take a closer look at the updated variant-wise pricing for this off-roader.

The Wrangler now starts from Rs 62.65 lakh, and the price hike affects both the trims offered with the Wrangler: the Unlimited and the Rubicon.

The Jeep Wrangler comes equipped with a wide range of features, including an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also includes a 7-inch multi-info display, connected car technology, push-button start/stop, drive modes, and dual-zone climate control. 

Furthermore, it comes standard with Trail Rated features such as low range, disabling the sway arms, off-road spec tyres that help the SUV perform better in terms of traction, water fording, maneuverability, articulation, and ground clearance.

Safety is taken care of with the presence of multiple airbags, electronic stability control, hill start assist, hill descent control, a rear parking camera with parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

The Wrangler is powered by a 2-litre turbo petrol engine producing 268PS of power and 400Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It comes standard with a 4-wheel drive system with low range for better off-roading ability. 

The Wrangler doesn’t have any direct rival but in terms of off-roading capabilities it rivals the Land Rover Defender in India.
