Royal Enfield will be showcasing one bike at Auto Expo 2025, and it is the Goan Classic 350. We were expecting a lot more from the Chennai-based manufacturer but it seems like they are planning on keeping things simple this year.
Earlier we thought we might be getting a chance to see models like the Classic 650, the upcoming Scram 440 and even the Flying Flea C6 electric bike. But that doesn’t seem to be the case.
The Goan Classic 350, is a bobber based on the J-platform, which includes the Classic 350 and the Meteor 350. The bike features a tall ape-hanger style handlebar, along with a few other design changes that gives it a unique identity.
The Goan Classic is the second bobber style-motorcycle from the Chennai-based manufacturer. The first one being the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650. But unlike the Shotgun, the Goan gives off a very different vibe. It feels more like a custom bike that you would have seen hippies of the 60s ride.
The bike rolls on a 21-inch front and 16-inch rear spoke wheel setup. The tyres used are whitewall ones which are tubeless. The whitewall tyres really adds to the bike’s retro appeal, and at the same time it also makes it easier to deal with flat tyres. This also makes the bike the second one from Royal Enfield which gets tubeless spoke wheels.
The bike is powered by the same 350cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Classic 350. The engine produces 20.21PS and 27Nm. Compared to the Classic 350, which is more comfortable at highway speeds of 80-90kmph. The Goan feels more at ease at 60kmph, which is a very relaxed pace. After riding it for sometime in Goa, we think this is the most chilled out Royal Enfield bike ever.
