New spyshots reveal two variants of the Guerrilla 450
There will be single-tone and dual-tone colour variants
Lower variant will have a semi-analogue instrument cluster with an optional Tripper display
Higher variant will have a fully-digital TFT display like on the Himalayan 450
New spy shots of the upcoming Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 have emerged a couple of weeks before its official launch on July 17, revealing a lot of details about it. The biggest piece of info now is that the roadster will be available in at least two variants.
There will be a lower priced variant, which will have a single-tone colour scheme, a semi-analogue instrument cluster, same as the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. The bike in the spy pics flaunts a pastel blue paint scheme, which seems to have a matte finish. This variant is equipped with the Tripper display that shows turn-by-turn navigation. That should most likely be an optional accessory to make the lower variant(s) of the Guerrilla more affordable. The lower variant could also miss out on the riding modes that we have seen in the Himalayan 450.
The second bike in the photo will be the higher, more expensive variant. It gets the same circular TFT display as the Himalayan 450, that has smartphone connectivity with call and music control, and full-fledged Google Maps. This variant might also get the riding modes like on the Himalayan, basically Performance and Eco. The reason for not giving riding modes on the cheaper variant could be as simple as just to differentiate it from the more expensive variant. Also, this variant flaunts a dual-tone golden and red paint scheme. Though, this combination reminds us of one peculiar Italian bike brand that was earlier on sale in India.
Both the variants have an offset fuel filler cap (which is in the centre of the tank on the Himalayan). This adds to the roadster appeal of the bike. The mirrors on the bikes seem to be the optional Black Touring Mirrors from the Royal Enfield Genuine Motorcycle Accessories catalogue. The Guerrilla 450 will have the block-pattern Ceat Gripp XL tyres as standard, on 17-inch alloy wheels (most likely). Braking duties will be handled by disc brakes on both ends, with dual-channel ABS. The Guerrilla will have a single-piece seat with pillion grab-rails.
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 prices are expected to start between Rs 2.2 lakh and Rs 2.3 lakh (ex-showroom), introductory. At the price, it would go bang on against Triumph Speed 400, which now costs Rs 2.24 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), after its recently announced discount offer.
