Royal Enfield finally revealed the highly-anticipated Himalayan 452 recently and the kerb weight of the bike has been confirmed.
The manufacturer released a reel yesterday and based on the registration number on one of the bikes shown there, we found out that the kerb weight of the upcoming ADV stands at 196kg. This makes the upcoming bike 3kg lighter than the Himalayan 411, but it is still a heavy bike at 196kg. Earlier, when a leaked homologation document revealed some of the bike’s specs, we estimated that the kerb weight would be around the 210kg mark. That document also revealed that the bike will be powered by a 451.65cc, liquid-cooled engine producing 40PS at 8,000rpm. With 16PS more power and a 3kg lower kerb weight compared to the current model, it should be much easier to handle the Himalayan 452 when riding off-road.
We also got to know that the white paint scheme seen in the pictures and the reel will be called “Kamet White”. We already know that features-wise, the bike will get a TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 will be launched on November 7 and will rival the KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Hero Xpulse 400.
