Himalayan 750 Spotted Testing In India

Quick Highlights

  • The upcoming Himalayan 750 has been spotted testing

  • It will feature a larger engine which could offer better power

  • Could be launched in India by the end of 2025

The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 has been spotted testing in India, and this time we have a clear idea of what to expect. The new spy shots have given some interesting details about the bike, which we had missed earlier. Here’s everything you need to know.

The bike combines a bit of design and styling elements from the old Himalayan 411. This includes the rather larger looking round-headlight. But Royal Enfield has made some changes to give this bike a distinct look. This includes the use of a fairing to cover the headlight section better.

Other than this, the bike features a large tank, and a sleek body. The bike also shares a few parts in common with the Himalayan 450, such as the tail section. The tail section offers an integrated tail-light and turn-indicator setup, which looks quite nice.

Coming to the engine, earlier we thought the upcoming Himalayan could be powered by the same 648cc parallel twin as the Bear 650. But now that we have seen the upcoming Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 also being tested we believe it could be the larger 750cc engine. This engine could be a bored-out version of the 648cc, parallel twin which should offer an output of 55PS and 60Nm. Using a 750cc engine will also be a really good idea as it will allow the brand to differentiate the upcoming Himalayan 750 front the already available Himalayan 450 in terms of power and performance.

Coming to the underpinnings, the bike is suspended on an inverted fork and monoshock suspension setup. The bike rolls on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup. This means that the bike could be more of a road-biased ADV for long distance touring instead of a hard-core offroad ADV like the Himalayan 450. Another interesting detail we saw in the photos is the use of a dual-disc brake setup at the front. This is likely done to increase the overall stopping power, which will help a lot in bringing this massive bike to a halt more effectively.

Features wise, we expect the bike to come with switchable ABS and other similar features that you would expect on a big bike. Judging by the images, we can see that the bike gets the same 5-inch round TFT console as the Himalayan 450 and the Bear 650. It offers features such as smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
