The bobber-style bike is based on the Royal Enfield Classic 350, it looks production-ready

Quick Highlights

  • The Royal Enfield Shotgun 350 is a bobber-style bike & was spotted yet again

  • Will be based on the Royal Enfield Classic 350

  • The bike is expected to get an ape-hanger handlebar, a removable pillion seat, and more

The Royal Enfield Shotgun 350 has been spotted testing again. This bobber-style bike is based on its roadster sibling, the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber is speculated to be named the Royal Enfield Shotgun 350. While it inherits cycle parts and engine from the Classic 350, this one gets a proper bobber makeover.

What will be new?

From the current spy shot of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 350, it appears that the bike will get an ape-hanger handlebar, a defining element of a bobber-style bike. While bobbers are single-seaters, from what we can see this one will get a detachable pillion seat which should make the bike practical for everyday use. The rider’s footpegs seem to be more forward-set adding to the bobber silhouette. The bike could also get white-walled tyres, adding a nostalgic touch to its modern design. It will also feature a tyre-hugging front and rear fender.

Similarities with the Royal Enfield Classic 350

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 recently got a bunch of “modern era” upgrades like all-LED lighting – headlight, taillight, pilot lights and turn indicators – that will improve road illumination and visibility. It looks like the Shotgun 350 will get the same lighting setup. The fork sleeves look like they’re taken from the roadster too. While we don’t have much visibility of the instrument cluster on the bobber, we think it will be the same as on the Classic 350. The Tripper navigation display could be optional. Mainly, the bobber will be powered by the same J-Series 349cc air-cooled engine that makes 20.2PS and 27Nm, found in the Classic 350, Meteor 350 and Hunter 350.

All in all, the Royal Enfield Shotgun 350 looks production-ready and will likely be launched in a few months. We expect the bike to be priced around the Rs 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.
