(Update: The all-new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 has been launched with a very attractive price tag. Read all about it in our launch story here)
Royal Enfield has been showering us with numerous teasers of the upcoming Himalayan 452 and now the manufacturer has shown the motorcycle fully in a recent YouTube video posted on its channel.
The video is part of Royal Enfield’s final testing session of the all-new Himalayan 452 before its launch on November 7. Three riders, including Royal Enfield’s CEO, B Govindrajan, set off from the bikemaker’s manufacturing facility in Oragadam, Tamil Nadu, to Umling La, Ladakh. Last year, in August, Royal Enfield took 82 pre-production Himalayan 452s to the Himalayas; and in February 2023, they did some extreme winter condition testing at temperature of -27°C in Ladakh.
Siddhdartha Lal, MD of Eicher Motors, says that the manufacturer has focused on making the new Himalayan more refined with more torque output and high-end power. He also confirmed that the ADV will be powered by a 452cc, liquid-cooled ‘Sherpa’ engine producing 40PS and will come paired with a 6-speed gearbox. We already knew details when a leaked homologation document revealed them. What we hadn’t known till now was the torque output; and from a graph shown in the video, it looks like the Himalayan 452 will have a peak torque output of 40Nm at 5,500rpm with 33Nm available from the 2,500rpm mark, and the ADV can rev up to 8,000rpm. These are not confirmed details, just what we could gather from the graph shown.
Through this video, Royal Enfield has fully revealed the motorcycle minus the specs and price as the ADV can be seen being ridden on the highways, gravel roads and mountainous regions; and boy, does it look good! The overall design has a very cohesive look to it and the ADV looks sleeker and lighter than the previous Himalayan.

The all-new instrument console with the integrated Google Maps navigation will improve the convenience factor of the ADV by a mile and it seems like it’ll also have music control functionalities with the ability to connect helmet communication devices. All that is left to see now is how the new Himalayan 452 is to ride and how it will be positioned in the market post its launch on November 7.
