Any motorcyclist worth their salt will know that regular periodic maintenance is quite crucial in keeping any bike running well and every manufacturer defines how periodic this maintenance needs to be - at least for the first few years. Some require you to service your bikes every quarter, while some require only annual services - and in most cases this is accompanied by a set number of kilometres as well. This becomes a crucial part of any buying decision - not only does the bike need to be good to ride, but maintenance has to be hassle-free as well.
If you’re considering a new Jawa Yezdi Motorcycle, the After Sales Service part of the equation is pretty much sorted, just like their 350cc motorcycle portfolio. To begin with, Jawa Yezdi offers a series of free services that will keep you covered for almost 2 years of your riding experience. So you end up saving on any labour charges for these services and will only be charged for the parts changed – filters, fluids, etc - which themselves are quite affordable. Let’s take a look at how much Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles charges you for each of these initial services.
For every Jawa Yezdi bike, the first service comes in at 1000km, which is at par with almost every other segment-comparable bike. The first service is the most crucial service for any bike, if you are serious about keeping the bike running well for a really long time. Every Jawa Yezdi bike will cost you Rs 1500, or thereabouts. This will include fresh engine oil, engine oil filter, the magnetic drain bolt washer, and clutch cover gasket. A fairly straightforward service.
The second service for a Jawa or Yezdi comes in at 6000km, and will cost you in the ballpark of Rs 1259. That’s actually less than the first service. That’s because the brand recommends you only change the engine oil and the drain bolt washer, and your bike is good to go. Pretty nifty, isn’t it? That shouldn’t take a lot of time at the service centre either.
The third service is fairly more expensive than the first two (and still quite reasonable), but it’s more comprehensive as well. You would be spending about Rs 2800 for it. In return, they change the engine oil, oil filter, drain bolt washer, fuel pump filter, air filter, and front & rear brake pads. Now this one should be a slightly longer service in terms of time spent at the service centre, considering everything that’s changed. Jawa Yezdi recommends the first three services to be carried out in the first year of ownership.
The fourth service for any Jawa Yezdi bike comes in the second year, at 18000km. The brand recommends that you change your engine oil, drain bolt washer, brake fluid, steering ball race kit, and chain sprocket kit. All of which will set you back by about Rs 5300. However, replacing the chain sprocket kit would also be dependent on how well you have looked after it. Regular cleaning and lubing will elongate its life, and you wouldn’t need to change it so early.

On that note, it’s worth noting that these service costs do not include any other parts replacements that you might require due to unforeseen circumstances. Also, except for the first service, all other services have an interval of about 6000km, which is decently spread out. With that, you might just service your bike, take it out for a pan-India tour, and come back just in time for the next service.
Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles’ service schedule, in that sense, is pretty straightforward and clean. You don’t have to worry about following a very tight service interval that could eat into your plans to ride with your bike. Moreover, there are 450+ touchpoints across India, 100 new Jawa Yezdi Cafe (smaller format) by September end, and 100 more till the end of the year. So no matter what part of the country you’re in - whether you live there or are just touring the vast landscape of India on your Jawa Yezdi motorcycle, you’re really never too far away from expert Jawa Yezdi care!
