Shape-shifting Porsche 911 Comes Alive In Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts

The trailer for the next Transformers movie is in, and once again it has something exciting on offer for petrolheads. One of the Transformer robots in the movie will be a dashing 1980s Porsche 911 sports car with superpowers. Check out the trailer: 

It seems that the Porsche is a 964-generation 911 coupe that had round headlights, upright windshield and moulded, body-coloured bumpers. It was powered by a 3.6-litre air-cooled, six-cylinder petrol engine that was good for 250PS and 310Nm.   

In the movie, the 911 is likely the character Mirage, an Autobot. According to IMDb, the character is voiced by comedian Pete Davidson. The seventh Transformers flick brings in the Beast Wars spinoff universe with massive robotic animals. It’s directed by Steven Caple Jr and stars Anthony Ramos and Michelle Yeoh, with voices from renowned actors such as John DiMaggio, Ron Perlman and Peter Dinklage.
