Recently we came across this cafe racer kit for the Honda CB350RS, which lets you modify your bike into the perfect cafe racer. It is significantly less expensive than the official one offered by Honda and it also looks quite good. Here are the details
The Honda CB350RS modification kit is offered by JD Customs, a customs house based in India and offers custom scrambler and bobber kits for Royal Enfield bikes, along with this cafe racer kit for the Honda CB350RS.
The custom cafe racer kit for the CB350RS includes the following: seat, LED taillight casing with integrated turn indicators, clipon handlebar and a number plate holder. The kit overall looks quite good and is able to give the bike that distinct cafe racer appearance & feel thanks to the clip-on handlebars.
The new seat and reworked tail light section also adds to that rugged and minimalist look that we associate with old-school cafe racer bikes.
Honda also has an official cafe racer kit, with a headlight cowl, single seat cover and a few minor design bits like grip end and crash guards. The headlight cowl and seat cover looks quite good and offers a premium appeal But the whole kit is quite expensive and doesn’t really capture that cafe racer look.
Honda’s official kit costs Rs 15,582 whereas the custom cafe racer kit from JD customs costs Rs 12,800.
Overall, which one to go with, depends entirely on your preference. If you want that cafe racer look without the inconvenience and commitment that comes with clip-on handlebars and a committed riding posture then the official kit from Honda does make sense.
However, people looking for a real cafe racer experience with a sporty riding posture can check out the JD Customs cafe racer kit.
