The SIAM (Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) has released the two-wheeler sales data for June. Below is the list of the top 5 best-selling scooters priced between Rs 1-2 lakh in India, along with their month-on-month (MoM) and year-on-year (YoY) growth data:

The TVS Apache RTR series continues to dominate the sales chart with a good 24.31 percent MoM growth. The Honda CB Unicorn 150 takes second place and has an 8.12 percent increase in MoM sales. Despite having an 8.14 percent decrease in sales, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 remains to be the best-selling bike from the brand and has secured the third position on this list. 

Fourth place for the month is taken by the Bajaj Pulsar 150 and N150 with a  MASSIVE 39.94 percent MoM increase in sales figures. Last on the list is another Royal Enfield bike, in fact, the most affordable and the most RE bike by the manufacturer ever, the Hunter 350 which received a slight 3.42 percent decrease in sales. The TVS Apache RTR series on this list includes Apache RTR 160, 160 4V, 180 and 200 4V. All the bikes in the RTR series are naked bikes with sporty performance. Each bike appeals to different needs and the RTR series has developed a loyal fanbase over the years by being reliable and value for money. All four bikes get a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and come with three riding modes: Rain, Urban and Sport.

TVS Apache RTR 160: Starts at Rs 1,20,420 (ex-showroom)

The Apache RTR 160 is powered by a 159.7cc, 2-valve, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 16.04PS and 13.85Nm, paired with a 5-speed transmission. The bike delivers a real-world tested mileage of 45.06kmpl in the city and 46.99kmpl on the highway.

TVS Apache RTR 160 4V: Starts at Rs 1,24,870 (ex-showroom)

The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V gets a 159.7cc, 4-valve, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces a slightly more power than its 2-valve sibling. It delivers 17.55PS and 14.73Nm, paired with a 5-speed transmission. In our test, the RTR 160 4V offered a mileage of 47.61kmpl in the city and 49.80kmpl on the highway.

TVS Apache RTR 180: Starts at Rs 1,33,220 (ex-showroom)

The Apache RTR 180 is powered by a 177.4cc, 2-valve, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 17.02PS and 15.5Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V: Priced at Rs 1,47,820 (ex-showroom)

The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is equipped with a 197.75cc, 4-valve, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces a peak output of 20.82PS and 17.25Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. It provides a real-world mileage of 47.61kmpl in the city and 49.80kmpl on the highway.

2. Honda Unicorn: Starts at Rs 1,10,600 (ex-showroom)

- Engine: 162.71cc air-cooled, single cylinder

Honda Unicorn

The Honda Unicorn has a three-pod analogue instrument cluster with the speedometer and odometer on the middle pod, the tachometer on the left pod and the fuel gauge and other telltale lights on the right one. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 features a semi-digital instrument cluster that displays a speedometer, fuel level, odometer, time, an eco indicator and trip meters. It has a USB charging port for added convenience, a halogen headlight to keep the old-school vibe and rotary switchgear like the Meteor 350. The bike also gets tripper navigation as an optional accessory that allows turn-by-turn navigation. The Classic 350 boasts a 13-litre fuel tank

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 comes with a semi-digital console. The base Retro variant showcases speedo, odo and fuel level readings. Whereas the premium Metro variant has an analogue speedometer and the digital inset shows an odometer, fuel gauge, gear position indicator, eco indicator, a clock and other basic information. It also has a tripper navigation pod or turn-by-turn navigation as an optional accessory. The bike gets a halogen headlamp and a 13-litre fuel tank.

The Hunter 350 sits on a twin downtube spine frame. It is equipped with a 41mm telescopic fork and a 6-step preload-adjustable dual rear shock. Braking duties are handled by a 300mm front disc and 270mm disc or 153mm drum at the rear (based on variant). It gets both single-channel and dual-channel ABS options, depending on the variant.
