TVS recently launched the 2024 Jupiter 110 starting from Rs 73,700 (ex-showroom Delhi). The latest model is only Rs 50 more expensive than the older one and it gets sharper styling, a more powerful motor and a list of features. It is one of the most popular scooters in its segment. Here’s how it compares with its rivals, the Hero Pleasure Plus and Honda Activa 6G:

Among the three scooters, the TVS Jupiter 110 boasts the largest engine capacity. However, despite having a slightly smaller engine, the Hero Pleasure Plus edges ahead by producing marginally more power. When it comes to torque, the TVS Jupiter 110 takes the lead with the highest figure, followed by the Honda Activa 6G. Notably, the Jupiter 110 reaches its peak torque earlier than its competitors, making it more commuter-friendly and ideal for quick overtakes. Considering the power and torque figures, the TVS Jupiter 110 promises a peppy and enjoyable option for daily commuting.

All three scooters feature telescopic forks at the front. However, the Hero Pleasure Plus stands out by being the only one with a monoshock suspension at the rear. In terms of braking, the TVS Jupiter 110 takes the upper hand with a 220mm front disc brake, providing better-stopping power compared to the drum brakes on both the Pleasure Plus and Honda Activa 6G. Interestingly, the drum brake size on the Pleasure Plus is identical to the Jupiter 110's rear drum brake, offering decent braking performance.
When it comes to tyres, the Jupiter 110 shares its front tyre size with the Activa 6G but gains an advantage with a larger rear tyre. This larger rear tyre will provide more comfort, especially on uneven roads. In contrast, the Activa 6G and Pleasure Plus both sport smaller rear tyres which can marginally improve fuel efficiency and manoeuvrability in tight spaces. Overall, the TVS Jupiter 110's combination of braking, suspension, and tyre configuration makes it a more practical choice, at least on paper.

The Pleasure Plus has the shortest wheelbase which should make it slightly easier to manoeuvre traffic. The Jupiter 110 offers the highest amount of ground clearance which will make it least likely to scrape while going over sharp bumps and potholes.
In terms of fuel tank capacity, the Honda Activa has the largest among the three which should provide more range.

The TVS Jupiter 110 is the scooter we recommend you go for as it offers the best bang for its buck. While it is the most expensive scooter among the three, it has been recently updated with a smart design and an extensive feature list. It has the most torque on offer and the bigger wheel setup will allow for a more comfortable ride, especially over broken roads. Having said that, if you’re looking for more power for quick overtakes the Hero Pleasure Plus will have your attention. However, the Honda Activa 6G is the cheapest and it has been the best-selling scooter in India. This is mainly because of Activa’s proven reliability and strong service backup, coupled with easy availability of spares. Hero also offers a similar service experience. However, with TVS, some users have reported service inconsistencies and delays in the availability of spares. However, it's not as bad to completely disregard Jupiter.
