The TVS Ronin had recently been updated with a new colour scheme and with it, the bike is now offered in 8 shades. In this article we will be going over the various colours and what each has to offer. So if you’re someone who is looking to get a TVS Ronin, then this explainer will help answer the question, which colour you should go for.
These two colour schemes are monotone shades offered on the base SS variant of the Ronin. Both give a paint finish on the Ronin’s tank and side panel, with a metallic TVS logo on the tank and a ‘Ronin’ badging on the side panels.
Overall, both of these shades are quite understated and don't really stand out when compared to the rest. The black finish on the inverted fork also gives it a very subtle look that fails to attract attention.
These two shades are offered on the mid-spec DS variant of the TVS Ronin. Both feature a similar paint finish on the tank and side-panel, but what makes this stand out is the white stripe on centre of the tank which gives it a more premium look.
Another design bit which sets these colour schemes apart is the addition of gold finished inverted fork. Overall, this colour scheme manages to offer a more premium look and feel when compared to the plain Magma Red and Lighting Black colours offered on the SS variant.
Now, if you’re someone who likes more premium shades, then these two colours are good options for you. Both are offered on the top of the line TD variant. They feature a triple tone finish with the front and rear fender and the top half of the tank, along with the side panel getting a paint finish, either Grey or Orange.
The lower half of both the tank and the side panel gets a black finish, and is separated with a golden pinstripe. This colour scheme overall looks quite good and the pinstripes add to the overall aesthetic quite well.
These colours are exclusively offered on the TD Special Edition and offer a triple tone finish. The Grey colour comes with a grey finish on the front three-fourth of the tank and a orange/white stripe design on the rear section. On the side panel this design is inverted, with the white/orange stripe coming first and then the grey finish.
The Midnight Blue, which is the newest colour scheme on offer. Also features a similar design but with a blue finish and a fluorescent yellow and back colour stripes.
The Ronin’s 4 variants are priced vastly differently, here’s a detailed breakdown of the prices:
Variant |
Price (ex-showroom Delhi) |
TVS Ronin SS |
Rs 1,35,000 |
TVS Ronin DS |
Rs 1,56,700 |
TVS Ronin TD |
Rs 1,68,950 |
TVS Ronin TD Special Edition |
Rs 1,72,700 |
With so many variants offered at such different price points, it’s easier for the customers to get what they are looking for specifically.
If you’re someone who wants simple colours that are also affordable then the SS variant and its simple monotone shades will be an ideal choice. Now, if you’re not satisfied with colours that are subtle and simple, then the DS variat’s dual-tone and the TD variant's triple tone finish will catch your fancy.
The TD special edition and the colours it offers are quite good and if you are looking for something which can truly stand out then you can go for the Grey or Mignight Blue colours.
The main difference between these variants is the features. The TD and TD special editions offer full smartphone connectivity and related features such as turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts. Along with 2 ABS modes as well. But with great features comes great prices.
Other than the change in colours and features, the engine and performance on all the variants remain the same. The Ronin is powered by a 225.9cc air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder, engine that produces 20.4PS and 19.93Nm.
