(Update: Ather Energy has launched the all-new Ather Rizta family scooter. Check out the details in our launch story here.)
Ather Energy’s CEO Tarun Mehta and co-founder Swapnil Jain have given an insight into new features that we will get to see on the upcoming Ather Rizta, ahead of its debut, on social media.
In addition to the previously revealed massive seat, Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain revealed more features including a big underseat storage (could be bigger than the 22-litre boot in the Ather 450X), a USB charging port and a smart accessory, which will be featured for the first time on the new Ather that will be revealed later on April 6, during Ather Community Day. While we’re unclear about what it is, Swapnil Jain mentioned, “You may get a chance to win it for yourself.” The smart accessory could be something like a smart helmet with Bluetooth connectivity, including speakers and a mic to receive calls hands-free, but we will have to wait to know what it actually is.
The manufacturer will also showcase the recently launched Ather Apex at the event. Attendees will get a chance to experience the scooter and can also win one!
Ather is also planning to release another OTA update called the “Ather Stack 6”, along with a new mobile app. This update will include new features including a functionality to message/chat directly from the dashboard.
Ather has also released a new teaser ad for the Rizta, featuring the former WWE superstar, the Great Khali. We can see the Great Khali performing his iconic WWE move in a funny manner on Ather Rizta’s large seat in the teaser. The massive seat has been teased earlier with unique billboards that the manufacturer installed in Mumbai and Ahmedabad, and images of both can be seen in the teaser.
