Ather Energy’s co-founder Swapnil Jain has teased the upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter on his social media handle.

In this teaser, we can see the Rizta electric scooter being ridden through 400mm (about 1.3 feet) of water, showcasing its water wading capabilities. Also seen in the teaser is the wide front apron with the horizontally-stacked LED headlight. The headlight section stretches towards the sides of the apron and we think the turn indicators could be placed there. The DRL is placed towards the bottom of the headlight cowl, similar to that of the Ather 450X and Ather 450S

The rear-view mirrors’ design looks much simpler than that of the other Ather scooters. Its colour TFT instrument console seems like the same unit found in the 450X with Bluetooth connectivity, navigation and more. When viewed from the side, we can see that there is a lot of space between the rider’s legs and the front cowl, suggesting a much bigger floorboard area compared to the other Ather scooters. Also different from the other scooters in the EV maker’s lineup is that the taillight stretches towards the side panels but not downwards.

Previously, Ather Energy teased the durability of the Rizta’s battery by dropping it from a height equivalent to that of a four-storey building. They have also teased the large seat of the upcoming Rizta, highlighting Ather’s family-centric approach with the scooter. The upcoming scooter is expected to get the same 2.9kWh capacity battery pack and 5.4kW peak power output motor found in the Ather 450S.

The upcoming Ather Rizta electric scooter will be launched on April 6 at Ather Community Day and will likely be priced around the Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. Its rivals will be the TVS iQube, Hero Vida V1 Pro, Ola S1 Air and the Bajaj Chetak.
