Quick News highlights:
The first day at the EICMA 2024 was very important for Hero MotoCorp, building its future roadmap. The Jaipur-based manufacturer revealed 3 new bikes (Hero Karizma XMR 250, Xtreme 250R and Xpulse 210) along with the Vida Z EV scooter, expanding its product portfolio for the customer. However, that’s not it, the bikemaker also showcased an updated Hero Mavrick 440. It gets a new colour scheme along with updated underpinnings and features.
The Hero Mavrick 440 that was showcased at EICMA, featured an all-new glossy Nardo Grey colour scheme, with black stripes on the fuel tank. There is also the 3D embossed Mavrick logo on the fuel tank.
The overall design of the bike remains the same as before. However, the neo-retro roadster was equipped with a gold-finished inverted fork setup at the front, which is borrowed from the Harley-Davidson X440. The golden inverted fork enhances the Mavrick 440’s looks and is also expected to improve its handling.
The updated Hero Mavrick 440 ditches its old horizontal LCD cluster and gets a new TFT instrument console from the Harley-Davidson X440. The round console houses a vertically placed rectangle TFT screen inside. The new TFT console also has smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth for features like turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts and more.
The Mavrick 440’s engine and the underpinnings remain the same as well. The neo-retro roadster continues to be powered by a 440cc, air and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 27.36PS at 6,000rpm and 36Nm at 4,000rpm. It has a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch as standard.
The updated Hero Mavrick 440 is expected to launch in India at the next Hero World Event, in early 2025. The bike is likely to come at a premium of around Rs 10,000 - Rs 12,000 over the existing Mavrick 440. For perspective, the flagship Hero bike is currently priced between Rs 1,99,000 and Rs 2,24,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
