The upcoming 450cc liquid-cooled ADV is expected to launch in the next few months

Royal Enfield has been keeping busy testing its multiple upcoming bikes. And the upcoming Himalayan 450 has been spotted again, giving us the clearest audio of what the exhaust note sounds like. The ADV has kept us on the edge of our seats for months with tempting teases and multiple spy shots.

With the new spy shots, we get a much clearer look at the rear of the ADV, and it sports a massive tail rack, which doubles up as the pillion grab rail. It will likely be a standard fitment and will also accommodate the tying of bungee cords. On the sides, we see the saddle stays which are most likely available as optional accessories. Oh, and the saree guard is quite massive.

The exhaust note of the Himalayan 450 is quite meaty and gruff, and has that lovely crackle to it. Listen to it below:

Additionally, we also get a view of the massive LED indicators with integrated taillights, quite similar to some Harley-Davidson bikes. Lastly, the ADV rolls on spoke wheels, likely a 21/17 inch setup, wrapped in CEAT dual-purpose tyres.

Powering the Himalayan will be a 450cc liquid-cooled engine, giving tough competition to the KTM 390 Adventure with similar power and torque figures. For reference, the KTM belts out 43.5PS and 37Nm. Head to this story for more details on the Himalayan 450.

Expected to debut in the next couple of months, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will likely be priced at around Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will rival the KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400.
