Yamaha has launched the updated FZ-X and FZ-S FI V4, head here for more details. The 2023 iteration of the Yamaha R15 V4, R15M and MT-15 V2 have been launched with new features as well.
Yamaha is all set to launch a new motorcycle or an updated model from its existing portfolio in the coming weeks. The Japanese marque is also planning some serious launches this year in India, including big bikes like the YZF-R7.
In terms of a small-capacity motorcycle, it could be the Yamaha FZ-X 25, a neo-retro bike based on the FZ-25 (similar to the FZ-X) to cater to the growing retro segment in the country.
It could also be an updated version of the FZ-X for 2023. While the engine and most of the design is likely to stay the same, the neo-retro bike could flaunt dual-channel ABS now. Additionally, Yamaha could also introduce new colours for the retro.
The current-gen FZ-X comes powered by a 149cc air-cooled engine making 12.4PS and 13.3Nm, paired to a five-speed gearbox. Sadly, the output figures are quite meagre and this Yamaha bike from China would have been the perfect alternative to the FZ-X in India.
Expect the updated bike to come at a slight premium over the existing model, which is priced at Rs 1,34,400 (ex-showroom Delhi).
