Yamaha has launched the updated FZ-X and FZ-S FI V4, head here for more details. The 2023 iteration of the Yamaha R15 V4, R15M and MT-15 V2 have been launched with new features as well.
Yamaha will be introducing the OBD-2-compliant engines for its more popular motorcycles in India - the MT-15 V2, R15 V4 and FZ-X, tomorrow. The bikes are set to be BS6.2-compliant, while also packing a bunch of functional updates.
Interestingly, the Japanese bikemaker had homologated the OBD-2-compliant MT-15 V2 earlier. Head here to find out the technical specifications of this bike. Apart from the hardware, these bikes will come packed with a bunch of new features including a TFT console and LED indicators.
What OBD 2 norms will result in is basically all vehicles will be fitted with an Onboard Diagnostic Device (OBD), to comply with preset emission levels in real time. It constantly monitors emissions and notifies the rider about any issues through an indicator on the console.
The new emission norms will kick in starting April 1, 2023. Expect these updated models to come with a premium of Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000, over the current bikes.
