In 2024, you can start buying Hyundai’s cars online via Amazon. The Korean carmaker and tech giant have joined hands to sell the former’s cars through Amazon's online website and app. But there’s a catch as this service will initially be rolled out in the United States of America (USA) before it’s available in other countries.
The concept of carmakers selling cars online through tech giants like Amazon and Flipkart isn’t new. In India, you can book a Skoda car through Flipkart and the rest of the process is taken care of at a dealership. Hyundai’s process, though, is slightly different from what we have been used to.
In the latest partnership, one can book their favourite Hyundai online and can even complete the entire process, including finance and payment, through Amazon. So the only bit remaining for the customer to do is to take delivery of the car at a dealership; or even better, have it delivered right at your doorstep. Convenient, right?
Dealerships can list the cars they have on inventory on Amazon, making it easier for customers to choose the model, trim and exact spec they want. This will also allow customers to see if they have the right car and trim they need and can place the order accordingly online. But yes, in case the model isn’t available, you’d have to wait until the car is made and reaches the dealer.
Closer to home, one can book their preferred Hyundai through their official website and the rest of the process is taken care of at a dealership. As for the upcoming models from the Korean carmaker, their next big launch will be the upcoming 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift, which is under testing and expected to be launched next year.
