The Kia Carnival has made a comeback to India after a hiatus of almost a year. This time around, the premium MPV is a whole lot more expensive than before. But the new-gen Carnival aims to justify that by packing in a macho design, a premium cabin and a features list that’s much longer than your typical grocery list! If you had your eyes set on the new 2024 Carnival, here’s a closer look at it in our in-depth image gallery.
The new Carnival, with its upright stance, has a much more commanding presence than before. Its upright nose is dominated by a Tiger Nose grille, flanked by a pair of vertically stacked LED headlights. A slim air dam is present in the bumper and houses the LED fog lamps and a silver skid plate, the latter giving a rugged look.
When viewed from the side profile, the new-gen model looks more SUV unlike the van-like silhouette of the previous-gen model. This is thanks to the raked A-pillar and upright styling the new Carnival comes packing.

The new Carnival sits on 18-inch alloys that ooze a sporty style. They could have been a size larger, considering the size of this car, but its tall profile should aid in ride quality in our less-than-perfect road conditions.
At the rear, the Carnival, like most other modern age cars, gets vertically stacked connected LED tail lamps. While the new-gen Carnival has a striking design, it sadly, is offered only with two colour options: black and white.
If you’ve stepped inside the Seltos, then the new-gen Carnival’s dashboard layout is very much a familiar place. It gets dual 12.3-inch integrated screens and below it has sleek AC vents and a mix of touch and physical knobs for the climate control. In the lower centre console, you can find the rotary lever for the gear selector and large cup holders that can hold big bottles.
The party piece for the new Carnival is of course the second row experience. Open the electrically operated doors and you’ll find a pair of lounge-like seats with a leg calf rest. The entire seat can be electronically adjusted and further comes with ventilation for added comfort. There is also a separate zone of climate control to keep yourself cozy.
Even with all three rows up, the new Carnival has more than usable 637-litre boot. And by folding down the last row, the new-gen Carnival is the perfect car for moving homes.
Other features onboard the new Kia Carnival comes packing a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, powered front seats with ventilation, three-zone climate control, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, powered tailgate and 64-colour ambient lighting.
Passenger safety is taken care of by eight airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, front, side and rear parking sensors with 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold and Level-2 ADAS.
Underneath the hood, the new Carnival is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that develops 193 PS and 441 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drivetrain.
Lastly, the price. The new Kia Carnival is priced at Rs 63.9 lakh (ex-showroom) and doesn’t have any direct rivals. You can consider it as an affordable alternative to the Toyota Vellfire and Lexus LM.
