Kia India has launched the updated 2023 Carens, which now meets the more stringent RDE norms that are set to kick in from April onwards. Its 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines have been upgraded to meet the new emission standards, but the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine has been ditched for a slightly larger and more powerful 1.5-litre unit. Also, the manual ‘box has been deleted with the diesel and turbo-petrol engines in lieu of the six-speed iMT (clutchless manual).
Like before, the Carens is offered in five broad trims: Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. Take a look at the revised prices of the MPV:

Prices of the Carens’s naturally aspirated petrol engine have been increased by Rs 25,000.
This engine is the only option in the Carens that gets a six-speed manual ‘box.
All three powertrains meet RDE norms and can run on E20 fuel (with 20 percent ethanol blend).
The MPV now gets its digitised driver’s display from the higher-end trims as standard.
