Kia India has launched the updated 2023 Carens, which now meets the more stringent RDE norms that are set to kick in from April onwards. Its 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines have been upgraded to meet the new emission standards, but the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine has been ditched for a slightly larger and more powerful 1.5-litre unit. Also, the manual ‘box has been deleted with the diesel and turbo-petrol engines in lieu of the six-speed iMT (clutchless manual).
Like before, the Carens is offered in five broad trims: Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. Take a look at the revised prices of the MPV:

The Carens’s turbo-petrol variants get the biggest change: its 140PS 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine has been swapped for a larger and more powerful 160PS 1.5-litre T-GDI unit.
