BMW India has launched the facelifted X5 luxury SUV on our shores from Rs 93.9 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the first facelift for this iteration of the X5, which was globally revealed back in February 2023. Like before, the X5 is offered with both petrol and diesel engines and both are offered in two trim levels.
Take a look at the variant-wise prices:
Engine Options |
Pre-facelift X5 |
Facelifted X5 |
Petrol |
Rs 98.5 lakh (M Sport) |
|
Diesel |
Rs 99.9 lakh (Sport) |
|
As you can see, the entry-level pricing of the X5 has gone down by a whopping Rs Rs 4.6 lakh. However, the equivalent variants that were there earlier have seen a price increase of up to Rs 4.6 lakh.
Design changes made to the X5 are rather miniscule. Up front, it gets the same large kidney grille is now illuminated, flanked by a pair of sleeker LED headlamps with revised insignias, giving it a mean look. The revised bumper with L-shaped inserts and a large airdam adds to aggression at front. In contrast, changes to the profile are limited to a new set of alloys while the rear gets revised tail lamps and bumper.
It’s on the inside where the X5 dials up the premiumness, thanks to BMW’s new i-Drive 8 infotainment system. It consists of two floating displays consisting of a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Looks upmarket! Also, the central console looks a lot less cluttered now as most of the features are shifted to the touch screen, which eliminates the need for buttons.
