Having unleashed the Multistrada V4 upon us last year, Ducati India has now upped the ante and rolled out the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak. While the Multistrada V4 was already a great sport tourer, the Pikes Peak edition takes sport touring to another level.
What’s instantly visible is the loud and gorgeous Pikes Peak livery. The Desmosedici GP ‘21-inspired livery will command your attention and the single-sided swingarm will ensure that your eyes don’t wander off the bike, putting the forged rims on full display. All of this, while the V4 branding reminds you of the monstrous 1,158cc Granturismo V4 mill that sits at the heart of it. While it continues to make 170PS and 125Nm in the Pikes Peak edition, Ducati has managed to shave 4.4kg off the Multistrada V4 S’ kerb weight. Tipping the scales at 214kg with 175PS on tap, the Pikes Peak hence obliterates its rivals when it comes to power-to-weight ratio.
Since it has no real off-roading intentions, it has ditched the 19-inch front wheel and now rolls on 17-inch alloys at both ends. In typical Ducati fashion, the Pikes Peak is packed to the gills with electronic aids. It’s the first Multistrada ever to get electronically-adjustable Ohlins suspension. Unlike the suspension on the Multistrada V4, this one is semi-active, something we’ve previously seen on Ducati’s track weapons, the Panigale V4 S and the Streetfighter V4 S. An ADV with track-spec technology? Now that’s a recipe for madness.

All this comes at a price though, and that is an eye-watering Rs 31,48,000 (ex-showroom India). That makes it a colossal Rs 5.99 lakh more expensive than the Multistrada V4 S. What you get for the extra money is the special livery and the semi-active Ohlins suspension, and some weight reduction of course. So how much of a value-for-money proposition is the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, you say? Stay tuned to ZigWheels for that, as we bring you more information about this bike.
