Jaguar India has silently launched the facelifted XF at Rs 71.6 lakh (ex-showroom). The British carmaker took this opportunity to reintroduce the diesel variant after it was discontinued back in 2020 due to BS6 emission norms. Also, the Prestige trim has been dropped and the luxury sedan will now be offered in a fully loaded R-Dynamic trim.

Take a look at the pricelist:

The facelifted XF now looks a whole lot sharper, especially in this sportier R-Dynamic trim. The larger grille takes more real estate up front, and is flanked by sleeker LED headlights. Then there’s the aggressively styled bumper with larger air intakes for a sportier demeanor. Changes to the side are limited to the larger alloy wheels that look the part. The design is completed by the revised tail lamps and bumper.

It’s on the inside where Jaguar has taken the luxury quotient up several notches. For starters, Jaguar’s Pivi Pro infotainment system now makes its presence felt here in a larger 11.4-inches screen (earlier 10-inches). The stubby gear selector, new steering wheels, and updated digital driver’s display are other notable upgrades that lend the cabin with an air of opulence.

Another main update for the Jaguar XF is the reintroduction of the 203PS 2-litre diesel engine, which comes with mild hybrid technology. This motor does the 0-100kmph run in 7.6 seconds and has a top speed of 235kmph. The petrol engine, on the other hand, is the same 250PS 2-litre turbo-petrol engine that does 0-100kmph in 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 250kmph. Both engines drive the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The facelifted Jaguar XF has now come well armoured to take on well established rivals like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, and the recently launched facelifted Volvo S90
