A couple of years back, CF Moto entered the Indian two-wheeler space with a range of products between 250 and 650cc. The most affordable bike in the Chinese brand’s portfolio was the 300NK, positioned to rival the KTM 250 Duke and the now discontinued Honda CB300R. Despite the huge interest, CF Moto couldn’t live up to the expectations and the bikes were never delivered, although they were on display at a few dealerships.
Now, the Chinese brand seems to have rebooted itself, launching the 2021 CF Moto 300NK in India at Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the same price at which the streetfighter was launched in 2019, which is quite an achievement for a BS6-compliant bike.
The above price announcement was made on the brand’s Instagram page, but no press release has been issued yet. We have no idea as to how many dealerships are still active or if new dealers have come up of late. At the above price point, the BS6 CF Moto 300NK rivals the KTM 250 Duke, BMW G 310 R, and the TVS Apache RR 310.
The new engine specs haven't been revealed as well. In its BS4 guise, the 292cc, single-cylinder and liquid-cooled motor produced 28PS and 25Nm of torque. One of the highlights of the bike was its low kerb weight; the BS4 CF Moto 300NK tipped the scale at just 151kg. It is still unclear if there has been any increase to the kilos.
We are trying to get in touch with CF Moto India representatives for better clarity of the brand’s future plans and further details on their bikes. Watch this space for updates.
