Revolt has launched the new RV400 BRZ electric bike in India. The Revolt RV400 BRZ is a more affordable and easily approachable version of the RV400 and features the same design. It aims to appeal to new riders by delivering power similar to a 125cc motorcycle.
The Revolt RV400 BRZ is available at a starting price of Rs 1,37,950 (ex-showroom). It comes in five colours: Lunar Green, Pacific Blue, Dark Silver, Rebel Red, and Cosmic Black, all carrying the same price tag. The RV400 BRZ rivals the likes of the Ather 450X, TVS iQube Electric, and Bajaj Chetak Electric. The Tork Kratos is another, more powerful alternative.
The RV400 BRZ features a digital display instrument console that includes a speedometer, battery level indicator, three riding modes and temperature. The bike also features a side stand sensor. Braking is managed by a Combination Braking System (CBS). Being Revolt’s most affordable electric bike, the RV400 lacks smartphone connectivity.
The RV400 BRZ is powered by a 3.24kWh lithium-ion battery delivering a claimed range of up to 150km in Eco mode, 100km in Normal mode and 80km in Sport mode, all exactly the same as the Revolt RV400. The charging speed is also unchanged (0 to 75 percent in 3 hours and 1 to 100 percent in 4.5 hours). The electric bike continues to feature a 3kW motor and also sports a regenerative braking system.
The RV400 features an aluminium subframe and swingarm, coupled with an inverted fork and a monoshock with preload adjustability. The electric bike comes equipped with 240mm disc brakes at both ends, with CBS. It has a 90-section front tyre and a 120-section rear tyre. The RV400 has a seat height of 814mm, a generous 215mm ground clearance and a kerb weight of 108kg.
The inclusion of ABS, even a single-channel one, would have been appreciated, making the bike a lot safer to ride on our unpredictable roads.
The Revolt RV400 has been India’s favourite electric bike and now with the RV400 BRZ, it is even more affordable, making it more appealing to a wider audience. However, if you desire more performance, maybe something equivalent to a 150cc petrol bike, the Tork Kratos is an option, albeit at a higher price.
