Updated TVS Radeon Launched With New Features And Technology

TVS has launched the updated Radeon, which gets many smart updates along with new technology. This new TVS commuter now features a segment first multi-colour reverse LCD cluster with a real-time mileage indicator, among many other updates.

What’s The Price? Who Are Its Rivals?

Updated TVS Radeon Launched With New Features And Technology

The new Radeon is priced at Rs 59,925 for the base variant and Rs 71,966 for the dual tone drum variant (ex-showroom Delhi), the same as before, no extra money to be paid for the new bits. The price of the disc variant has not been revealed yet. This bike will be available in four variants: base, dual tone drum with reverse LCD cluster, dual tone drum with reverse LCD cluster plus ISG/ISS and dual tone disc with reverse LCD cluster.

This bike rivals the Hero Passion Xtec, Bajaj Platina 110 and Honda Livo.

What’s New?

Starting with the reverse LCD instrument console, this dash now gives out info such as real-time mileage indicator (claimed to be first in the segment), clock, service indicator, low battery indicator, top speed and average speed information.

The new Radeon now also comes equipped with TVS’ intelliGO technology, which shuts off the engine when idling for long, thus improving fuel economy. The dual-tone variants also get many chrome bits around the bike, which gives it a premium feel.

What’s Unchanged?

The bike retains the same 109.7cc engine that produces 8.4PS and 8.7Nm. It also continues to get the same suspension and brake options as the older model. The USB charger too is carried forward from the older model.

What Should Have Changed?

This bike misses out on Bluetooth connectivity, which has now become common amongst a lot of scooter offerings. Even the Passion Xtec and Splendor Plus Xtec offer Bluetooth connectivity.

ZigSays

The new updates are definitely refreshing, and is a welcome move considering the newly launched Xtec variants of the Splendor and Passion. However, the updates aren’t as comprehensive as we’ve seen on some of its rivals. Thankfully, there’s no price hike for the new bits, which should serve TVS well.
