It’s obvious that Kia is playing the features game by plonking in plenty of new additions to ensure the Seltos stands out among its competitors

The facelifted Kia Seltos has been revealed in India. And as part of its first major midlife update, the Korean marque has updated the design and thrown in plenty of new features. The Seltos’s main nemesis is the Hyundai Creta; and clearly, Kia is playing the features game to usurp its sibling. So here are 5 features the facelifted Seltos packs over the Creta.

ADAS

One of the biggest additions to the Seltos is the availability of ADAS, adding an additional layer of safety to the SUV. The suite consists of features such as lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance assist and rear blindspot-collision avoidance.

Dual-zone Climate Control

Dual-zone climate control adds a layer of comfort and convenience to the Seltos. Basically, the driver can set the temperature of his preference, while the co-driver and other occupants can set the temperature to their liking. Or if you want the entire car to have a standard temperature, that’s also possible.

Fully Digital Driver’s Display

The Seltos now features a fully digital 10.25-inch coloured digital driver’s display. The graphics on it are slick and high resolution. Also, there are plenty of customisation options, and based on our experience in the Alcazar, they’re rather easy to use as well. The Creta also gets a digital driver’s display, but the tachometer and fuel gauge are analogue dials.

Blind View Monitor

Thanks to the presence of a 360-degree camera in the Seltos, it gets a blind-view monitor. What it basically does is when you activate the indicator, the camera on the ORVM relays a feed to the digital driver’s display showing you the blind spot. Useful when you intend to take a tight turn into a lane.

Dynamic Turn Indicators

The Seltos gets Audi-like swipey swiper turn indicators, both at the front and rear. Not a major feature addition, but something that makes the SUV look a tad bit premium when activating the indicators.

These are the 5 features that the Kia Seltos gets over the Hyundai Creta. For more details about the facelifted Seltos, check out our in-depth unveiling story. And if you intend to take a closer look at the SUV, check out our image gallery.

The facelifted Kia Seltos’s prices are expected to be announced in the coming weeks and it will command a premium over the outgoing model that was priced from Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from the Creta, it will also go up against the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq as well as the upcoming Honda Elevate and Citroen C3 Aircross.
