Big bikes are the end goal for all motorcycle enthusiasts. And we’re happy to report that 2021 brought with it a vast variety, from full-blown track weapons to tech-savvy ADVs. Take a look at them below:
Kawasaki
Kawasaki is THE most successful big bike manufacturer in India, largely due to the Japanese giant’s competitive pricing. And for 2021, Kawasaki delivered yet again. The biggest launch for Kawasaki was the heavily updated 2021 Ninja ZX-10R. The new Ninja ZX-10R not only boasts a new design, better performance, and improved electronics, it also comes at a dreamy price of just Rs 15.14 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which is significantly lower than any of its rivals.
Along with it, Kawasaki launched the new MY22 Z900, Ninja 1000SX, and the Z H2. All these models bear new colour updates rather than a major revamp.
Ducati
It was a prolific year for Ducati. What started off subtly with the BS6 update for the Scrambler 800 lineup went on to fruit first-time launches like the mind-boggling Multistrada V4 and the Streetfighter V4.
Not to forget, Ducati also launched its ‘mid-capacity’ lineup including the Hypermotard 950, SuperSport 950, Multistrada 950, and the all-new 2021 Monster. Oh, and Ducati didn’t forget its devilish cruisers either, as it launched the Diavel 1260 and the XDiavel here as well.

Harley-Davidson
In 2020, it seemed Harley-Davidson would be bidding goodbye to the Indian market altogether. But thanks to a ‘little’ help from Hero MotoCorp, the American company sprung back to action and launched its expansive lineup of cruisers in India, which you can check out here.
Amongst the usual lot, Harley-Davidson also launched two of its most anticipated models in India, the Pan America 1250 and the Sportster S.
Triumph
Another big bike company which had a successful 2021 was Triumph. The UK-based bikemaker brought most of its international lineup here. The list includes the all-new Speed Triple 1200 RS, the updated Bonneville lineup, and the Tiger 850. While this may not seem like a lot, bear in mind Triumph had already launched the BS6 Street Triples, the Tiger 900s, and the Rocket 3 here back in 2020 itself.
BMW
Next up, BMW Motorrad. The Bavarian company launched a handful of bikes in 2021. While the headlines were taken by the more affordable than ever G 310s, BMW also launched its flagship naked, the S 1000 R and the bonkers M 1000 RR, in India. Additionally, we also got the R 1250 GS and the R Nine Ts.
Suzuki
It had been a while since we saw Suzuki top the big bikes sales charts. But it happened in 2021, and it was courtesy of the all-new Suzuki Hayabusa.
Suzuki launched the new Hayabusa in India soon after its global debut, at a drool-worthy price of Rs 16.40 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). In fact, this combination of excellent pricing and the Hayabusa’s massive fan-following made it fly off the shelves in less than 24 hours after its launch!
