Porsche has rebranded its in-house customisation and limited edition product development division from 'Porsche Exclusive' to 'Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur'. The first product from the new brand is the most powerful, luxurious, exclusive and expensive 911 Turbo S you can buy - for now. In the US, each unit has a base price of USD 257,500 (~Rs 1.66 Crore, excluding taxes) which is USD 66,700 (~Rs 43 lakh) more expensive than the 'standard' 911 Turbo S.
In India, the standard 911 Turbo S is priced at Rs 2.68 Crore, ex-showroom Delhi, the new 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series could be priced at Rs 3.61 Crore, ex-showroom.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series gets standard exterior design elements such as carbon fibre bonnet, roof and side skirts, black 20-inch alloy wheels with central locks and laser-engraved stripes, black-painted brake calliper covers with contrast-coloured Porsche crest etc. Then there’s the 'Turbo Aerokit' which consists of components such as new front winglets, a larger rear wing, front intakes, rear air vents, etc. Carbon fibre ram-air covers on the rear haunches and black stainless steel exhaust pipes are some of the other highlights on the outside. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur badges placed just after the front wheels are the definitive sign that this is an exclusive Porsche. Customers can choose from a selection of colours if they do not fancy the Golden Yellow Metallic colour shown in these photos.
The interior treatment on the Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series continues the high quality, unique feeling seen on the outside. The seats are covered in, not one, but two layers of perforated leather with the inner layer getting two stripes matching the exterior colour. Contrast stitching can also be seen on the steering, door pads, dashboard, floor mats and roofline. The carbon-fibre interior trim features copper thread intertwined within them. A plaque also denotes the unique serial number of the car, only 500 units of the car will be offered to customers worldwide.
Powering the Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series is the same 3.9-litre, twin-turbocharged, flat 6-cylinder petrol motor, but with a 'power kit'. It develops 607PS of maximum power and maximum torque of 750Nm - an increase of 27PS and 50Nm, respectively. Paired to a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (dual-clutch) transmission, the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series accelerates from 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds and goes on to hit a top speed of 330kmph. Porsche active suspension management, rear-wheel steering and Porsche dynamic chassis control are offered as standard.
Customers buying the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series will also get a watch to match their car, with similar colours and materials as used in the car. As is the case with the car, only 500 units of these watches will ever be made. For an extra USD 6234 (~Rs 40,000) you can also get a matching luggage set that fits perfectly in the luggage compartment of the 911 Turbo S.
